Non-pharmacological Treatments

Non-pharmacological treatments are therapies that do not involve the use of medication. These treatments are aimed at treating and managing various psychological and physical conditions. Common non-pharmacological treatments include cognitive behavioral therapy, psychotherapy, physical therapy, relaxation techniques, mindfulness, exercise, and dietary changes. Evidence suggests that these treatments may be beneficial in treating a wide range of conditions, such as depression, anxiety, chronic pain, fatigue, sleep disturbances, stress, and substance abuse. Non-pharmacological treatments can help individuals manage their symptoms and can improve overall health outcomes. Additionally, they are usually low cost and may be used in combination with other treatments.
