Neuropsychology
Neuropsychology is the application of neuroscience to the study of cognitive, behavioral, and emotional functions of the brain. It is used to understand the relationship between neural activity and behavior in order to develop treatments for mental health problems, such as dementia and depression. Neuropsychology is also used to diagnose and treat neurological diseases, such as Parkinson's and Alzheimer’s. Additionally, it is used to inform psychological treatment and research, as well as to understand how the brain and its activity are impacted by physical, social, cultural, and psychological factors. Neuropsychology is valuable in its ability to bridge the gap between physical and mental health and improve the quality of life of those affected by neurological problems.
