Developmental Psychophysiology
Developmental psychophysiology is a field of study that looks at how physiological responses, such as heart rate, blood pressure, and skin conductance, can be used to measure and understand development in individuals from childhood to adulthood. This field of study has been used to look at the effects of stress, emotional regulation, and trauma on development, as well as the impact of parenting and relationships. By understanding and measuring physiological responses, researchers can gain insight into how these experiences shape development and overall wellbeing in children and adults. This knowledge can help us design better interventions for mental health and development, as well as help us to better understand and appreciate the complexities of development over time.
