Cortisol Levels
Cortisol is a hormone released by the adrenal glands in response to stress. It plays an important role in the body’s stress response and regulation of metabolism, cardiovascular function, and immune system. High cortisol levels can lead to an increased risk of health conditions such as diabetes, hypertension, obesity, and depression. Low cortisol levels have been associated with low energy, chronic fatigue, and immune system disorders. Measuring cortisol levels in the blood can help diagnose and manage a wide range of health issues.
