Blood Pressure
Blood pressure is a measure of the pressure exerted by the blood on the walls of arteries and veins as it circulates around the body. It is an important indicator of health, as hypertension (high blood pressure) can lead to serious health problems such as stroke, heart attack, and kidney failure. Low blood pressure (hypotension) can also cause problems, such as dizziness, fatigue, and blurred vision. Regular monitoring of blood pressure, either through home monitoring or in-office appointments with a doctor, can help identify problems earlier, allowing for more effective treatment.
