Behavioral Neurobiology

Behavioral neurobiology is the field of science that studies how the brain influences behavior. This interdisciplinary field combines neuroscience, psychology, and genetics to investigate the biological origins of behavioral traits. Through the analysis of behavior and its internal and external influences, researchers in this field are advancing our understanding of neurological disorders, substance use, stress, learning and memory, and social behavior. Improved understanding of these topics is leading to better treatments and therapies for people suffering from neurological and psychological issues, as well as helping us to better understand healthy behavior.
