Solution-focused Therapy
Solution-focused therapy is a short-term, goal-oriented approach to mental health treatment that focuses on solutions, not problems. It works on the premise that a person’s current life situation is suffering from a problem and the goal of solution-focused therapy is to help them find and create solutions to that problem. This therapy is based on the idea that solutions to problems already exist, and the therapist’s job is to help the patient find them. By helping the patient identify their goals, form positive and achievable solutions, and work towards these solutions, the patient can reach the desired outcomes. Solution-focused therapy is a popular option for those looking for a brief, solution-oriented approach to mental health treatment, and has been shown to be effective in treating various mental health issues including depression, anxiety, and substance abuse.
