Mindfulness-based Therapy
Mindfulness-based therapy is a form of psychotherapy that combines traditional psychotherapy techniques with mindfulness practices. Mindfulness is a state of being in which individuals are aware of and attentive to their present moment experience. The goal is to help individuals gain better insight into their thoughts and feelings and to respond to them in a more constructive and positive way. Mindfulness-based therapy has been found to be effective in improving psychological wellbeing, reducing stress and anxiety, and minimizing symptoms of depression. It is also recommended as a complementary approach to treating chronic pain and other medical conditions. In addition, research indicates it may be helpful in treating addictions and enhancing overall quality of life.
