Epigenetics

Epigenetics is a field of study that examines how certain genes are expressed in different situations, even when the underlying DNA sequences remain unaltered. It helps explain why different cells in the same organism can have different functions and appearances, and how individuals can have different traits even though they have the same genetic makeup. This knowledge can be used to develop new medical treatments, understand biological processes such as aging and evolution, as well as improving crop yields and livestock health. Epigenetics is a rapidly expanding field of study and its effects are far-reaching, making it an important part of today's scientific research.
