Eating Disorders
Eating disorders are serious mental health conditions characterized by a persistent, abnormal pattern of eating, distorted body image and severe distress and anxiety about body weight and shape. They are often associated with physical and mental health problems and have serious consequences if left untreated. Common types of eating disorders include anorexia nervosa, bulimia nervosa, binge eating disorder and other specified feeding and eating disorders. Early intervention and treatment is important for affected individuals, as it can lead to healthier eating habits, improved physical and mental health, and better functioning in everyday life.
