Zygotes

Zygotes are the initial stage of the embryonic development of a new organism. They are formed when a sperm cell and an egg cell fuse together during the process of fertilization. They are the first cell of a new organism and contain the full genetic information of both parents. Zygotes are a crucial element of reproduction and growth in most species, and are fundamental to the development of a new organism. Their significance lies in the fact that they are the only cells that are able to form an entire organism, and thus they have great potential for medical and research applications.
