Transcriptomics
Transcriptomics is a field of molecular biology that studies the transcriptome, or the collection of all the RNA molecules in a cell. It is a powerful tool used to investigate the functional and structural organization of genes, gene expression, and the regulatory networks that control gene expression. It can be used to understand the underlying mechanisms of a variety of diseases, develop new drugs and diagnostic tests, and uncover novel biomarkers for early detection and treatment of diseases. The data generated from transcriptomics can also be used to understand how cells respond to stimuli, how the environment affects gene expression, and the evolutionary relationship between species.
