Studying Super-Cold Proteins

Super-cold proteins are proteins that exist at temperatures close to absolute zero, which is -273.15°C. By studying these proteins, scientists can gain a better understanding of the structure and function of proteins at the atomic level. Also, since the proteins are immobilized at extremely low temperatures, researchers can observe how these proteins interact with other molecules in an environment free from thermal fluctuations. This can give insight into how biological processes, such as metabolism and enzymatic activity, work on a molecular level. Furthermore, this research can be used to create more efficient and effective drugs and treatments that target particular proteins and diseases.
