Proteomic Databases

Proteomic databases are online collections of information about proteins and their properties, such as structure, function, and interactions. They are important for a variety of scientific uses, including aiding drug development and providing insights into protein evolution. Proteomic databases enable scientists to gain a better understanding of proteins and their role in living organisms, allowing them to develop targeted treatments and therapies. Additionally, proteomic databases can be used to compare protein sequences from different species and improve our knowledge of protein family trees, aiding our understanding of evolution.
