Plant?Pathogen Interaction
Plant-Pathogen Interaction is a biological process in which a plant and a pathogen interact and influence each other. This interaction can be beneficial, neutral, or detrimental to the plants. When beneficial, the plant benefits from a nutrient/growth boost, while neutral interactions result in no effect on the plant. Detrimental interactions occur when the pathogen is able to harm the plant by attacking its cells and causing disease. Plant-Pathogen Interaction is an important study field, it helps us to understand the plant's response to the pathogen, the process of the pathogen's attack, and the methods to control or avoid diseases. Therefore, it is an important research topic in plant and disease management, and it is also used to develop new kinds of pest control measures.
