Metabolomics

Metabolomics is an area of science that studies the chemical processes in a living organism, often referred to as 'metabolites'. It involves measuring and analyzing metabolites that are essential for the functioning of an organism through techniques such as Nuclear Magnetic Resonance (NMR) and Mass Spectrometry (MS). Metabolomics has become an important tool in biomedical research, allowing scientists to investigate the cause of various diseases and to develop treatments for them. It can also be used for diagnosis and measuring the effectiveness of medical treatments. Finally, metabolomics is being used to produce new diagnostic and therapeutic approaches in the fields of nutrition, toxicology, and environmental studies.
