Tarsiiforms

Tarsiiforms is an ancient group of primates that includes modern-day tarsiers, a small, nocturnal primate found in Southeast Asia. This group has a distinct set of anatomical features, including large eyes, long hind limbs, and grasping hands and feet, that are thought to have evolved to facilitate their nighttime activity. Due to their ancient evolutionary heritage, tarsiiforms are regarded as a key species in understanding the origins of primates and how they adapted to the environment. Tarsiiforms are also important to the conservation of tarsiers, as they may help us better understand their biology and behavior, as well as the threats they face in the wild.
