Strepsirrhini
Strepsirrhini, also known as non-tarsier prosimians, is an order of primates that includes lemurs, lorises and galagos. Strepsirrhini possess a number of characteristics that distinguish them from other primate species, including a moist, hairless nose and a grooming claw. These primates are thought to have evolved over 55 million years ago and are found in tropical and subtropical regions of Africa and Asia. They are highly adapted to their environment and play a key role in maintaining the balance of their ecosystems. Strepsirrhinis are also important to humans, as they are commonly used in biomedical research and to study the evolution of primates.
