Simiiformes

Simiiformes are a primate order that includes gorillas, chimpanzees, baboons, humans and other apes. These primates are characterized by their large brains, flat noses, small ears, long arms and a prehensile (grasping) big toe. They are highly social, often living in groups and displaying advanced communication and problem-solving skills. They play an important role in the environment, serving as both prey and predators in their respective habitats. Their intelligence has adapted and shaped the modern world, offering an important link between humans and the natural world. Through their presence and activities, Simiiformes serve a critical role in the global ecosystem.
