Primatologists

Primatologists are scientists who study primates, a group of mammals that includes humans, chimpanzees, gorillas, gibbons, and other related species. Primatology is a science that combines research in anthropology, biology, sociology, and psychology to gain better understanding of primate behavior and ecology. Primatologists use a variety of methods to study primates, such as observing them in their natural habitats, conducting lab experiments, collecting data from wildlife sanctuaries, and analyzing the behavior of captive animals. Primatologists' findings can be useful in understanding human behavior as well as in developing conservation strategies for primate species. Additionally, primatology research provides valuable insight into the evolution of primates, and can inform medical and health research on humans.
