Primates Connectome
Primates Connectome is an important research project to map the neural networks of primate brains. Using cutting-edge imaging and genetic data analysis, it studies how individual components and systems of the primate brain work together to generate behavior and cognition. This research helps scientists better understand the evolution of higher-order functions in primate brains, neurologic and psychiatric disorders, and underlying neural mechanisms of cognition. Primates Connectome findings can be used to develop new treatments and therapies for diseases such as Alzheimer's, autism and schizophrenia.
