Primate Conservation

Primate Conservation is the conservation of the biological diversity, habitats and natural populations of all primates, including humans, around the world. It is an important branch of conservation science, as primates are essential to their ecosystems and the wider global environment. Primate Conservation helps to protect biodiversity and enables the sustainable use of resources. Additionally, there is a cultural importance to preserving primate species as many are culturally and spiritually significant to local communities. Primate Conservation is achieved using strategies such as habitat protection, species monitoring, education and law enforcement. Primate Conservation plays a key role in conservation of wildlife and natural resources, and helps to ensure a future for primates and humans around the world.
