It is a medium-sized monkey and lives in a wide range of habitats, including tropical rainforests and urban areas. Macaca fascicularis is a very adaptable species, allowing it to thrive in a variety of different environments. It is an important organism in ecological studies, due to its wide distribution and ability to thrive in different conditions. Macaca fascicularis is also used in medical research, as it is a non-human primate species that shares many similarities with humans in terms of anatomy, physiology and behavior. This makes it a useful model for studies of human diseases, as well as for the development of new drugs and treatments.
