Lemuriformes

Lemuriformes are a suborder of prosimian primates, comprising of the true lemurs, galagos, lorises and pottos. They are identified from other primates by their shorter snouts, longer lower incisors and a grooming claw on the second toe of their hind feet. Lemuriformes are found mainly in Madagascar, although some species live elsewhere in Africa. They are important to research into primate evolution and behavior, and their bushmeat consumption has a significant impact on local human populations.
