Hominoidea

Hominoidea is a superfamily of primates, comprising the four living families of humans, apes, gibbons and siamangs. Hominoidea is significant due to its close relationship with humans, as they are the closest living primate relatives to humans. Hominoidea are also important for their valuable contributions to the world's biodiversity, playing essential roles in their ecosystems. Hominoidea are used in scientific research as a tool for understanding human evolution and for studying the behavior and ecology of primates of this superfamily. Hominoidea are also increasingly seen as important for their contributions to the fight against climate change and other environmental problems, as they are considered to be "flagship" species that can be used to raise awareness and education about the impact of humans on the environment.
