Euprimates

Euprimates (or Euarchontoglires) is an ancient primate clade that is closely related to humans. It is composed of the orders Primates, Rodentia (rodents), Scandentia (treeshrews), Dermoptera (flying lemurs) and Lagomorpha (rabbits and pikas). This clade is significant because it is the oldest known group of mammals that are closely related to humans, and plays an important role in understanding human ancestry. Additionally, Euprimates are critically important in conservation efforts due to their close genetic relationship to humans and their importance in maintaining healthy ecosystems.
