Cheirogaleidae
Cheirogaleidae is a family of primates in the order Primates. Typically, these primates have small bodies and long, bushy tails. They are mainly found in the tropical forests of Madagascar and the adjacent Comoros Islands. Cheirogaleidae are also known as dwarf lemurs and are unique due to their small size and remarkable adaptations to the harsh environment of the tropical forests. They are mainly nocturnal, but some of them, like the Fat-tailed Dwarf Lemur, can become active in the day. Cheirogaleidae are important to their environment, as they disperse seeds from the fruits they eat and maintain the balance of the ecosystem. In addition, they provide invaluable insight into primate evolution.
