Cebinae

Cebinae is a taxonomic subfamily of beetles. They are notable for the wide range of food sources they feed on, ranging from decaying plant matter to living vegetation. This makes them an important species in aiding the process of decomposition and recycling of organic matter. Cebinae beetles have been used in various studies to learn more about the effects of climate change, soil fertility and ecosystem dynamics. They are also important pollinators, helping to reduce the amount of artificial fertilizers needed for agricultural use. As such, Cebinae are a key species in sustaining healthy ecosystems and providing numerous benefits to humans.
