Soil Science and Soil Land Use
Soil Science is the study of the physical, chemical, and biological properties of soils, and their interaction with the environment. Soil Land Use is the application of soil science principles to land management, including the use of soil to improve crop productivity and to reduce environmental impacts. It includes the understanding of soil fertility, soil erosion, and soil sustainability. Soil Science and Soil Land Use are essential components of sustainable agriculture and land management. They are also used to assess and monitor the health of soils, as well as to develop and measure soil conservation initiatives, such as land use planning and management of soil-related environmental risks.
