Security of Genetically Modified Agricultural Organisms

Genetically modified (GM) agricultural organisms have been designed to have enhanced traits that improve their productivity and performance, such as increased drought resistance, pest resistance, and higher nutrient content. While GM organisms may bring improvements to the agricultural industry, there is also a concern that they may potentially create risks for human health, the environment, and existing biodiversity. To ensure safe use of GM organisms, rigorous security measures have been developed, such as containment measures, monitoring systems, and comprehensive risk assessments. Security measures are important to ensure that the risks associated with GM organisms are managed effectively and that their benefits can be maximized.
