Precision Genetics

Precision genetics is a field of biotechnology that uses new and emerging technologies to rapidly sequence and analyse the genetic code of organisms. It has wide-ranging applications in healthcare, agriculture and research, allowing for the generation of new and improved crops, diagnosis and development of treatments for genetic diseases, and identifying individuals with an increased risk of certain diseases. Precision genetics has revolutionised our ability to understand the complex genetic networks responsible for health and disease, providing answers to previously unsolved questions and the potential to personalise medicine to individual patients.
