Precision Conservation
Precision conservation is a concept that seeks to ensure conservation efforts are carried out as efficiently as possible. It employs a combination of techniques such as predictive analytics, spatial modeling, and remote sensing to identify and protect areas of high conservation value. It seeks to identify the most effective approaches and strategies for protecting the biodiversity of a given area, while minimizing impacts on local economies, communities, and cultures. The approach is increasingly being used to successfully address a range of conservation issues, such as habitat loss, species extinction, and climate change. Its primary benefit is that it allows conservation efforts to be targeted in the most effective and cost-efficient manner, while still guaranteeing the protection of any given area's biodiversity.
