Precision Agriculture Modeling
Precision agriculture modeling is a technology that enables farmers to use data-driven analysis and models to better understand their crops’ needs and make more-informed decisions. It uses geographic information systems, remote sensing, and data analytics to provide detailed soil and crop information. Precision agriculture models allow farmers to optimize fertilization and irrigation, plan the right crop rotation, and identify and address problems quickly. This in turn leads to more efficient and sustainable crop production, with improved yields and profits. Furthermore, precision agriculture modeling helps reduce environmental impacts, since nutrients, water, and other inputs are applied only where they are needed, reducing wastage and runoff into waterways.
