Agrochemistry
Agrochemistry is the science that examines the interactions between agricultural production systems and chemical compounds. It involves the study of how agricultural products interact with chemicals to produce nutrients, pest control agents, and other elements of crop production. Agrochemistry is used to improve crop yields and soil fertility, as well as to reduce the damage caused by pests and other environmental stressors. Agrochemistry also contributes to the development of sustainable agricultural systems and improved food safety. By understanding the chemistry of agricultural systems, scientists can develop approaches that reduce the need for chemical inputs and improve environmental stewardship.
