Thermoplastics

Thermoplastics are a type of plastic that becomes pliable or moldable at a certain temperature. They are commonly used in various items from toys to automotive parts due to their strength, low cost and ease of manufacturing. They can be repeatedly heated and cooled and remolded as needed. Unlike thermosetting plastics, which form a strong bond when heated, thermoplastics are not chemically cross-linked and can therefore be recycled or melted down for reuse. This makes them environmentally-friendly, cost-effective and the most widely used plastics in the world.
