T7 Rna Polymerase
T7 RNA polymerase is a type of enzyme which plays an important role in gene expression. It is responsible for synthesizing short strands of messenger RNA molecules, which are essential for making proteins. This enzyme is highly specific – it only works with DNA sequences which have the right sequence of promoter elements. As such, it has become a powerful tool for scientists who study gene regulation, as well as for industrial applications, such as making custom proteins for biotechnology uses. T7 RNA polymerase also has the potential to be used as a therapeutic drug target for various diseases, such as cancer and Alzheimer’s.
