Polymerase

Chain Reaction Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) is a laboratory technique used to amplify small amounts of DNA, allowing scientists to make millions of copies of a particular DNA sequence. This process is integral to molecular biology research, allowing researchers to study genes, study evolution, detect diseases, and even identify criminal suspects. By making multiple copies of DNA, PCR enables scientists to study segments of genetic material that would otherwise be too small or too rare to analyze.
