Ozone Cracking

Ozone cracking is the process of breaking down the ozone molecules (O3) into oxygen molecules (O2) through a reaction with an organic compound. This is an important process for the maintenance of the ozone layer, which protects the Earth from the harmful effects of ultraviolet radiation. Ozone cracking is also used industrially for the removal of pollutants from the atmosphere, improving air quality and protecting human health.
