Crystallization

Crystallization is a process used to purify and separate chemicals and materials. It involves the formation of solid crystals from a liquid solution. Crystals can be formed from pure materials or mixtures of different compounds, and can have different properties and uses. Crystallization is a widely used technique in the chemical and pharmaceutical industries, as well as in research labs, to improve the purity, stability and reproducibility of materials. For example, it can be used to separate different compounds from each other, obtain pure substances and determine the structure of a given material. Crystallization can also be used to form materials with specific properties, such as shape, size, crystal structure and solubility, which can be used in a wide range of applications.
