Sclerenchyma Cells
Sclerenchyma cells are specialised plant cells that provide support and strength to the plant structure. They are the toughest and most dense plant cells and are made up of a thick, heavily lignified cell wall and a large central vacuole. Sclerenchyma cells are important for the stability and rigidity of plants, and are especially important for supporting large and tall plants such as trees. They are also involved in the efficient transport of water and nutrients throughout the plant. Sclerenchyma cells are vital for the health of plants and play a key role in the growth and development of plants.
