Plant-microbe Interaction

Plant-microbe interaction is the communication between plants and microorganisms. This interaction is important for ecosystem functions and is beneficial to the growth and health of plants. It involves the exchange of nutrients, signalling molecules, and other substances between the two. Plant-microbe interactions can influence the uptake of water and nutrients, the production of enzymes, hormones, and other plant defence mechanisms, and the spread of disease. It can also improve crop yield, soil fertility, and crop resilience. Understanding this interaction is key to enhancing agricultural productivity and sustainable food production.
