Phytosterols
Phytosterols are a type of plant sterol that are chemically similar to cholesterol. They can be found in a variety of plants and plant-based foods, such as seeds, nuts, grains, and legumes. Phytosterols are known to have health benefits such as lowering cholesterol levels, reducing inflammation, and improving heart health. They can also be used as a natural, plant-based alternative to cholesterol-lowering medications. Phytosterols are an important part of a healthy diet and can help reduce the risk of heart disease, diabetes, and stroke.
