Molecular Genetics
Molecular genetics is a branch of biology focused on the study of inheritance at the molecular level. It is a rapidly growing field of research and has significant implications for medical diagnosis, treatment and prevention of genetic diseases. Molecular genetic techniques are widely used to identify and characterize genes, to study gene expression and regulation, and to determine the structure and function of proteins. Molecular genetics is also used to identify the cause of genetic diseases and to develop therapies that can reverse or prevent them. Furthermore, the techniques of molecular genetics are used to study the evolution of species, to create genetically modified organisms, and to develop new diagnostic methods for various human diseases.
