Timber and Forest Products

Timber and Forest Products are organic materials derived from the forestry sector which are used for construction, furniture-making, paper production, and numerous other applications. These materials are harvested from managed forests around the world, providing an economically and environmentally sustainable source of materials for many industries. Timber is a renewable resource and is one of the few materials that actually stores carbon for the duration of its lifetime, thereby reducing atmospheric carbon levels. Forest Products are also used for fuel and have many other essential applications. Not only are they used in industry, but they also play an important role in preserving habitat for wildlife and protecting the environment.
