Radiation Ecology
Radiation ecology is the study of the interactions between radiation and living organisms, with a focus on the effects of radiation on the environment and the ways in which organisms use, respond to, and are impacted by it. Radiation is a form of energy that can have both positive and negative effects on living organisms, depending on the form of radiation and its dose. Radiation ecology investigates how radiation interacts with the environment and its inhabitants, how living organisms are affected by radiation, and how organisms use radiation to their advantage. Radiation ecology is important for understanding the balance of life in the environment and for finding ways to maintain a healthy balance by managing radiation exposure. It can also be used to inform the development of new technologies that can be used to protect organisms from radiation.
