Palaeoecology
Palaeoecology is the study of past ecosystems. It is an important field of research that provides insight into the responses of natural ecosystems to past climate changes and other environmental factors. Palaeoecological data is used to help predict future climate trends and can be used to inform conservation and land management policies. Palaeoecology also provides important evidence for understanding the interactions between ecosystems and humans over time, which can inform the development of sustainable management strategies.
