Oceanography
Oceanography is the scientific study of the physical and biological properties of the ocean and its interactions with the Earth and atmosphere. It provides key insights into the marine ecosystem and its inhabitants, along with their importance and interrelationships with the global climate. Oceanography also helps us to understand global cycles of substances such as carbon and oxygen, and how they can be used for resource management. Finally, by discovering and understanding resources beneath the sea, it enables nations to explore potential sources of energy, minerals, and other resources.
