Meteorology
Meteorology is the study of the atmosphere, including the interactions between the atmosphere and other components of the Earth system. It is a science that deals with the physical properties, phenomena, and structure of the atmosphere and its effects on the environment and living things. Meteorologists use data from satellites, aircraft, and ground-based instruments to track weather patterns and phenomena, and make predictions about climate change. Meteorology is an important field—it helps us understand the environment around us, predict the weather and climate, and understand the complexities of air pollution and its effects on human health.
