Global Warming

Global warming is the process of the Earth’s climate becoming warmer over time. This is mainly caused by the added heat energy trapped in the Earth's atmosphere by the release of greenhouse gases, such as carbon dioxide and methane, from the burning of fossil fuels. Global warming has far-reaching impacts on the environment and will continue to increase if left unchecked. These impacts include melting of glaciers, sea level rise, ocean acidification, changes in the range and abundance of species, and extreme weather events. To reduce the effects of global warming, reducing emissions of greenhouse gases is critical. This can be done by using less energy, switching to renewable energy sources, and creating more efficient cars, buildings, and factories. Doing this will help protect our planet and the health of its inhabitants for future generations.
