Conservation Ecology

Conservation Ecology is a branch of ecology that focuses on the protection and preservation of the environment and its biodiversity of species. It seeks to understand how ecosystems work and how different species are affected by the interactions of humans, their activities and the changing environment. Conservation ecology involves studying the consequences of land-use change, climate change and pollution, and developing strategies to protect species, habitats and ecosystems. It is important in managing and restoring degraded environments, mitigating the impacts of climate change, and conserving species and ecosystems for future generations. Conservation Ecology is utilized in many aspects of environmental management and education, such as species and habitat management, protected area design, and ecosystem restoration.
